As soon as he started to write songs, Mark started to put them together in bigger stories which quickly evolved into the rock operas 99, Release, Energie and Victoria Falls. Songs can say so much more about a person and their conflicts and feelings than dialogue. Mark found that writing from other personas was liberating both in storytelling and working with music genres.
